How to take Insta-worthy Pics During Lockdown!

Although we may not have cute flower walls or fancy decor, our homes can actually be very insta-worthy if you think about it. As long as you get the angles and editing right, you’re sorted!

Some of you may be aware that I study Media in A levels and it’s the one and only subject that I can actually say is enjoyable, so if you are planning to choose media – GO FOR IT. Don’t worry guys, I’m not getting paid to write good things about it LOL. I’m currently creating a website and music video and it taught me a lot! Let me know if you want an in-depth on any Media related stuff!! Okay enough with the waffle, first things first, say hi to my cute model; Ayeza.

Go for a specific Colour Scheme!

By using a specific colour for your instagram, it makes it look more aesthetic and organised, which is what people like to see! For our pictures we went for the blue/green feed and the different settings also play a huge part. We took the left pic in my bathroom, centre and right; in my room.

I took these pictures on my iPhone XS Max which does the job. I also use the camera editing option and turn the brightness, warmth and saturation up until I like it, you may also add a filter if you like to.

My personal favourite is the centre pic because of the fairy lights! How cute does it look please?!!

Use Your Garden!

I mean, this is making me emotional, she looks too beauts in red. Now, if you know me I sure do love me some good garden pics! So we just had to take some here.

This was taken around 6/7 pm so we used my floodlight. I suggest that you all should take your pictures in Portrait mode, using natural or studio light – trust me because it makes all the difference.

Quick tip: if you do go for a certain feed, make sure you don’t spam your viewers because it’s annoying. If you’re planning to post 3 or more pictures, I would usually post one or two and wait a couple days.

Lastly, look for different modelling inspo on pinterest!

I’ve been using Pinterest for over 4 years, it is literally the best app for any inspo!

You could probably be someone that has everything you need to take aesthetic pictures, but tend to not like any because they’re all the same pose! I’ve been there, done that. Just search for ‘photography/modelling inspo’ and you’ll see the wide variety of poses that make your feed look unique.

For the centre pic, using my breakfast bar brought some colour into the picture and gave it a contrast. Even if you’re going for a certain feed colour; add different colours so that your audience don’t get bored of it!

I hope my tips helped you guys somewhat! Don’t forget to show some love to @ayeza.y on instagram – I feel privileged to have taken nearly all of her insta pics! And follow me if you would like to: @sanaesthetic

P.S. I know how tough it can be to remain calm during these testing times, but we WILL get through it eventually – keep your chin up and have an amazing day!

XOXO, SANA
