At the moment, everything may seem really difficult to take in, and believe me you’re not alone if you also feel this way. However, I am quite proud of myself for taking the whole lockdown thing well (which I am very grateful for). I’ve come up with many ways to help manage my mental health and I thought that I should share these tips to my lovely followers! Hope you try some of these out and I will be open to answer your DMs on my Instagram sanaesthetic from you all if you’re having a bad day. As I said before, you’re not the only one feeling this way and it’s okay to have bad days, it does NOT mean you’re always going to keep on having them. Take each day at a time and remember, your mental health is a work in progress, recovery is not a competition. This brings me to some of my many ways of keeping myself happy:
Have a Skincare Routine
This may seem like a simple tip but many of us (including myself) don’t stick to our skincare routines. Now this is probably because our routines are either too long or that we use way too many products for our skin – which according to some dermatologists, may lead to irritation, redness or even worsened breakouts. However, I do recommend you do some of your own research on the products that you want to use for your skincare routines.
Skincare is probably the only thing that I HAVE to do every single day because it puts me in a really good mood and physically my skin feels so soft and cleansed. Many of you were asking me for my skincare routine, I will do a blog post on it in more depth later on, however when I’m feeling lazy, I tend to just use a L’Oreal face mask and a facial wash which leaves my skin feeling refreshed and it does the job.
Read a book
Now some of you may already know this from my Instagram stories – I’ve been getting back into the habit of reading after a very long time, and can I just say, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE it! Call me a nerd or whatever you want lol, reading is an incredible way to forget your surroundings and just focus on your book.
I’m currently reading Vex King’s awesome book called ‘Good Vibes, Good Life’ and it really has changed me as a person, which is quite amazing as I was in a very bad state before reading it. Reading the right books can truly change your perspective on life and all its twists and turns. If you’ve read a good book don’t forget to DM me as I also want to explore in a wider range of books! Don’t forget to follow my Instagram for upcoming reviews on the books that I’ve been reading so far.
Glam yourself!
I guess we all have had a break with applying makeup on; not going to lie here, I forgot how to do my brows the first time I wore makeup after a long time LOL. But I’ve started to treat myself and do makeup here and there, obviously for TikTok.
If you’re like me and don’t really know how to apply eye shadow, I suggest you take this extra time that you have and learn how to! I’ve started to do eye makeup more often which if you know me is rare, as I’m not a pro at it – but your girl is learning. I love dressing up and taking pictures (if you couldn’t tell already lmao) as it simply makes me feel good on the inside, as well as on the outside. But if makeup isn’t your thing, then don’t feel the need to do it, it’s just my choice, and may not be for you.

Do something creative!
This may include taking pictures from different angles or even learning how to Photoshop your pics – any skill will make you different from others. And this is not a bad thing; in fact, I can very proudly say that creating this blog was so worth it as I get to help my beautiful followers! So, yes it was difficult, but it all paid off as the messages I received on Instagram made me feel incredibly grateful to have such an amazing Insta family.
No, I’m not saying that you should also create a blog, I just want you guys to feel good about yourself and if doing something out of the box makes you feel blessed then go ahead by all means! You never know where it could lead you to in the future.
Having experiences makes you the person you are and it’s safe to say that we all have different experiences, which make us all unique. You can even create an IGTV like I did, or post a picture of yourself, or simply do what makes you feel great.
Don’t stay alone
I don’t think you’ve heard anyone say this to you right now, so I’ll say it; do not stay alone. Your loved ones are there for you; they love you so very much, so why feel lonely when you have them by your side?
If you’re feeling down right now, my first tip would be to tell someone you trust; whether that be your friend or cousin, as long as you can count on them and they count on you! If the trust is there, this person will go through whatever you’re going through WITH you, and trust me, you WILL feel better. I’m not just saying this; you will feel content very soon. It starts with building great relationships with your loved ones.
Furthermore, I’ve started to accept everything that has been happening to me as that’s the best thing you could do. It just shows how you are aware of the issue but if there isn’t much to do about it, ACCEPT IT and move on!

Last but most definitely not least, write!
I know most of you probably know this but I enjoy writing so much! It puts me in a relaxing mood and I feel like I’m more organised this way as my work can get quite overwhelming, but as soon as I break down the tasks, I feel like I can do it with ease. Not only that, I feel like writing keeps me busy and I always learn something new from it too!
I hope this post was useful as some of you asked for it! Take care my loves and keep safe.
